Comments from part owner Mr Don Cottee:

The tenements which have been held for about 20 years by 3 prospectors who have now reached retirement age. They are granted mining leases and free of native title. All the leases contain alluvial gold and have historical mine workings. As a result of using the dolly and dish method to test samples and having the gold ore treated with a single head battery few recorded assays or gold returns exist. However some samples and assay results have been produced by other interested parties. An Information Memorandum discussing these results is available on request.

M36/204 'RED TIPPER' ( Renewable 27/12/2011)

This tenement contains one small historic gold working and a wide area of alluvial gold in nugget form. The collar and pillar of the shaft were very rich in gold indicating that a high grade mineralisation and a valuable mine exists.
For a large lease very little drilling has been carried out. In 1987 Forsayth Mining drilled 7 holes at the old workings with the best result shown above. They intended to continue drilling but a program on their own nearby lease returned such good results that they shifted all drilling rigs to that site. This was to become the Redeemer Gold Mine one of the best gold producers in the district for many years.

M36/279 'KATHLEEN' (Renewable 23/11/2014)

This tenement was taken up after samples from a quartz ironstone reef yielded high gold returns with the prospectors treating the best ore themselves; including 120 tonnes at 6g/t at a toll treating site. Little exploration has been done on this lease.

M36/341 'LEINSTER' (Renewable 25/7/2020)

This tenement shows great promise for gold and nickel. It contains a line of late 1800's historical workings and is on the same line as the Jubilee Cosmos Nickel Sulphides Mine and BhpBilliton Mt Keith Nickel Sulphides Mine.

A drilling programme was carried out in 1997 by Consolidated Gold Mines with very promising results (best are show above). At the time of this drilling programme Consolidated were under administration and before they could put down the deeper holes they were put into receivership. Consolidateds' Chief Geologist at the time reported a near surface resource of 60,000 tonnes at 3g/t.

Soil sampling carried out in 2005 not only indicated the interesting gold areas but disclosed a line of above average results for nickel and the associated elements. Rock chip samples have verified these results. A squid EM survey in 2006 has shown 5 conductors along this line. They have not been drilled.
